American Beekeeping Federation Conference:

Kids and Bees Event

A “Pop Up Hands-On Bee Museum”

Hosted by the American Beekeeping Federation, Sponsored by the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees

January 6th, 2023, Jacksonville, FL, 9am-12:00pm

On Friday, January 6, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, local and visiting elementary-aged kids are welcomed to Florida’s Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront to participate in the "Kids and Bees" event. This no-charge, educational program has been a featured event during the ABF Conference & Tradeshow for over 25 years and is a don’t-miss opportunity for school groups, home-schooled kids, scouts, and clubs.

Kids and their teachers and parents can expect a room full of hands-on exhibits under the themes “The Art of Beekeeping,” “The Science of Beekeeping,” “The World of Beekeeping” and “The Future of Bees: It’s Up to You!” Learn about the art and science behind beeswax, honey, pollination, ultraviolet bee vision and so much more! Students will make their way through each station, engaging with beekeepers from around the United States in activities that will harness their senses and imaginations.
