Kids and Bees Build Challenge

Thank you so much to all of the students who submitted their builds to the first ever “Kids and Bees Build Challenge”!! The committee loved watching every video and were so inspired by your creativity and bee love. Please enjoy the videos below who received top points for following the directions outlined in the challenge’s objectives and extensions.

A food forest is the centerpiece of this bee-utiful “Bee Friendly Farm” build by Yi-Ching Chung’s 2nd/3rd grade team “Ultrafly” from École Gabrielle-Roy in Surrey, British Colombia.

Team “Ultrafly” from École Gabrielle-Roy in Surrey, British Colombia, also took on the “Native Bee Habitat” challenge and excelled to great heights with their custom blue mason bee house!

Team “Étudiants Positives!” from Ottawa, Ontario, a team of Madam Fuisz’s 6th/7th grade students went above and beyond in many ways for their “Bee Friendly Farm,“ but the committee’s favorite part was the lamas!

Team “Étudiants Positives!” from Ottawa, Ontario, also blew the committee away with their “Native Bee Habitat” build that made room for multiple species of bees to thrive alongside humans.
